Delete your account & data

Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app

The fastest way is to delete your account directly:

• Open NotePal on the web or the iOS app.
• Go to Account.
• Choose Delete account and confirm.

This immediately begins permanent deletion of your account and all associated data. Open the web app to get started.

Option 2 — request deletion by email

Prefer us to handle it, or can’t sign in? Send a request from the email address on your account and we’ll verify and delete it for you.

We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before we delete it, to protect you against fraudulent requests.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes:

• your account profile and sign-in identifiers;
• every source you added — recordings, uploaded audio, PDFs, YouTube links, and pasted text;
• all generated study material — notes, transcripts, mind maps, quizzes, and flashcards, including study progress; and
• your settings and any shared links you created.

Timeline & what we keep

Your content is removed from your library immediately and purged from our active systems shortly after. We complete deletion across systems, including short-lived backups, within 30 days.

We retain only the limited records we’re legally required to keep — for example, transaction records needed for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes. These are kept no longer than the law requires and are not used for anything else.

If you bought a subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play, deleting your account does not automatically cancel that subscription — manage or cancel it in your Apple or Google account settings.
